Walking in (a soaking wet) Paradise

As this summer starts creeping to an end (or racing away, really) I want to make sure I wrap up my rest-of -summer- posts, and tie em’ with a bow!  I’ve had Mom and Dad’s faces staring up at me from my editing screen for WEEKS now.  I could not bring myself to write or work on them, because it signifies the end of an era.  I will not see them again for awhile in person, and that is daunting for me. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to celebrate the fabulous time we did share, and re-live it in all it’s blogging glory!

So the next week and a half is dedicated to you guys.  To the two wonderful people that made me, and our time in Hawaii together.

Manoa and Botanical Garden

You could say I get my adventurous spirit from these two crazy kids.  They proved that yet again when I took them on the Manoa Falls Hiking Trail.  It POURED. RAIN. THE. ENTIRE. HIKE.  I’m not exaggerating.  We could wring our shirts out by the time we were done.  The water was pouring down like a river down the trail at one point, but it all added up to a great story!

After the hike, we drove up the hill a-ways to explore the Lyon Arboretum and Botanical Garden.  The 193 acre garden contained gems of all sorts, and is on my must-visit-again list!

The rain did not turn our smiles to frowns, but rather added to our atmosphere! Tomorrow we are going Shrimp Shack Snackin!
